Q1: How did you get to know about BMU and how did you come here?

A: BMU is relatively new but has high standards like an American-style university. My mom wanted me to study Medicine, but I wanted Pharmacy. Pharmacy had issues, so with my JAMB score of 240, I opted for Radiography and Radiation Science because I don’t like Medicine and Surgery.

Q2: What’s the greatest struggle you’ve ever faced as a student?

A: Mathematics — it’s my biggest academic challenge.

Q3: What’s the hardest academic semester you’ve faced and how did you handle it?

A: One semester’s Biology exam surprised me. What I read came out but not as expected. I didn’t cry; I laughed through it and decided to still write and pass.

Q4: Have you ever made any mistake as a student that taught you a deep lesson?

A: Not a specific mistake, but I once scored a D in Maths by just one mark. My secondary school Maths background was weak, so I had to teach myself. Missing that C really pained me.

Q5: Have you ever failed as a student?

A: Not exactly failed, but I had that D grade in Maths.

Q6: Do you believe in God?

A: Yes. Without Him I wouldn’t exist. Without Him, a lot could go wrong in my life.

Q7: Do you think religion plays a role in academics?

A: Religion has some influence but not a crucial one. If you don’t read, you won’t pass, no matter your religion.

Q8: Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

A: As a PhD holder in Radiography and Radiation Science, advancing my career and making my mother proud.

Q9: How do you define failure and success as a student?

A: I don’t have a fixed definition for failure. Success for me is achieving what I set out to do, even if it’s small.

Q10: If you were the VC of BMU for one day, what’s the first thing you’d do?

A: Tackle corruption and favoritism in admissions. People should not buy their way into courses like Medicine and Surgery.

Q11: What’s your honest opinion about romantic relationships in school?

A: It’s not for everybody. If you know your purpose and can manage your time, fine. But your books should come first.

Q12: When would you know you’re ready for a relationship?

A: I don’t get attracted easily. There’s lust, admiration, and love. I’ll only consider a relationship when I’m prepared and interested, not because everyone else is doing it.

Q13: Do you wish to find your Mr. Right in BMU?

A: I’m not in a position to decide where I’ll meet him. People have negative views about BMU boys, but not all are the same. Some have good character and are well-trained.

Q14: Is there any question you would have wanted me to ask you or you would have wanted to ask me?

A: Why you called me for the interview.
